2012 Summer Forum

On Friday, July 13, 2012, World Class Cities Partnership held its Summer Forum at Northeastern University’s Henderson House in Weston, MA. WCCP Research Director Dan Spiess presented on the Partnership’s research findings from the past year on the topic of Talent Attraction and Retention. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion featuring Jim Klocke, Executive VP of the Boston Chamber of Commerce, Eva Milona, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, and Eric Nakajima, Senor Innovation Adviser of the Massachusetts Office of housing and Economic Development. The panel was moderated by Boston Globe deputy editorial page editor Dante Ramos. The forum further included a summary of the Massachusetts-Catalan Trade Agreement by Andrew Davis, Head of the US Delegation of the Catalan Government. During the second half of the Forum, participants met in breakout sessions to discuss the MassAction unCommittee’s three initiatives: Freshman @ Fenway, Launch Week, and AwesomeBoston.org.
