Come learn more about some great awards — the Carnegie Endowment Junior Fellowship, the Rangel Graduate Fellowship, and the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs — for those interested in political science and international affairs.

The Carnegie Endowment offers a one-year fellowships to graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. Carnegie Junior Fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment’s senior associates.

The Rangel Graduate Fellowship is a program that aims to attract and prepare outstanding young people for careers in the Foreign Service in which they can help formulate, represent and implement U.S. foreign policy.  Beginning in 2015 , the Rangel Program will select 30 outstanding Rangel Fellows annually in a highly competitive nationwide process and helps support them through two years of graduate study, internships and professional development activities, and entry into the Foreign Service.

The Pickering provides academic and professional preparation for outstanding candidates to enter the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service, representing America’s interests abroad. Pickering Fellows are undergraduate and graduate students in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply.
