2012-13 Influenza Vaccine Information

The 2012-13 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine is available at UHCS. No appointment is necessary. The vaccine is FREE to all students.

Prevention

Prevention remains the simplest and strongest measure to combat the spread of the influenza virus. Public health officials stress the importance of:

  • Vaccination
  • Hand washing (video)
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth,
  • Cough etiquette
  • Self-isolation in dormroom or home when ill for at least 24 hours after one’s fever is gone(except to seek medical care

Faculty and staff may seek flu vaccines through Boston Public Health Commission Clinics or their own clinician.
