This weekend the NUTTs were busy being active. Saturday morning the team headed to the Charles River to run the Big Dog 5k along with hundreds of other NU students and alumni. Although the "official" results may not show it, Molly & Imelda came in second and third for the ladies
and Tims came in second
overall! And as you can see below from our picture with Paws, we had a great turnout for this race with 17 runners including; Eric, Gill, Tims, Alex T, Alyssa, Imelda, Kevin, Marissa, Patt5e, Don, Angelo, Owen, Molly, Courtney, Jake, Jonathan, and Alex N!
But the highlight of the race goes to Patt5e and the Uke Runners!!! Patt5e completed her beta test of Uke Running and successfully ran a 5k while singing and playing her ukulele! To see a video of her success click HERE!
Patt5e is running in the Komen 5k October 20th to raise money for breast cancer. She hopes to sing and play her ukulele the whole time for the entertainment of everyone. You can donate for her cause here!
Patt5e wants to continue running, singing, and playing her ukulele for more charity races so keep an eye on her cause she is going to be famous very soon!
The Uke Beta Team is shown here (consisting of Sarah, J.T., Patt5e, Marissa, Jess, and Kevin):
And the fun did not end there! On Sunday the NUTTs biked over to Government Square to participate in Hub on Wheels thanks to Larabar!!
Larabar had a team biking for the event and since Larabar loves NUTTs (copyrighted by Megan Reuss) several team members got to ride on either the 30 or 50 mile course! It was a beautiful day for the ride and everyone had a great time.
