Torch Dinner - September 6, 2007 Northeastern hosted a special reception dinner in the Alumni Center, where donors of the program had a chance to hear how inaugural scholars Joey Bordieri and Nadia Alvarez experienced their first year in college. Members of the second class, Kellyse Hood and Jordan Martins, also spoke, thanking supporters for making their dream of a college education come true.

Red Sox - August 13, 2007 After enjoying a tour of Fenway Park, a number of the second class watched their very first Red Sox game at the historic ballpark.

Xhibition Kitchen - July, 18 2007 Senior Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Philomena Mantella treats the Torch Scholars to a special lunch in the University's Xhibition Kitchen.

First Day of Classes - July 11, 2007 As part of the summer immersion program, Torch Scholars are required to attend classes as a primer for their full class loads in the fall.

Project Adventure - July 8, 2007 Just one day after arriving on campus, the second class visited the North Shore in Berverl, Massachusetts for an experience to help build a group identity and strengthen team-building skills.

Move in Day - July 7, 2007 The second class of Torch Scholars arrived on campus, moving into White Hall with help from some members of the inaugural class. The scholars embark on a rigorous six-week summer immersion program.

Torch Summer Dinner - June 13, 2007 Northeastern hosted a special reception for alumni and friends in the Alumni Center to meet with a few members of the inanugural class of Torch Scholars.

Torch Studies for Finals - April 17, 2007 The Torch Scholars go over their notes and readings in preparation for their upcoming finals.

Celebrating Greek Easter – April 11, 2007 Torch Scholars Odalis Polanco and Joey Bordieri joined hundreds of students, staff and faculty to celebrate Greek Easter on Krentzman Quadrangle.

Torch Interview Day - March 23, 2007 Prospective students who hope to be members of the second class of Torch Scholars arrived on campus to participate in interviews and to get a sense of campus by meeting the inaugural class and university staff members.

Torch Dinner at Egan Center - March 22, 2007 Torch Scholars meet at the Egan Center to veiw themselves in the Alumni Magazine and also get to have dinner with Nicole Manganaro and her husband Paul.

Torch Scholars meet Faculty & Staff – February 8, 2007 For their first event of the New Year, the Torch Scholars meet the faculty and staff of Northeastern along with Danny, Jordan, Ana and Joey telling their stories before arriving to the University.
