The importance of branding standards in University communications

At a time when Northeastern is competing on the national level for recognition and resources, it is critical for the University to convey its brand identity to an array of different audiences with images and messages that are concise, consistent, and easily recognized.

In order to help units across the University achieve this goal, the Office of Marketing and Communications has developed this online branding toolkit, which offers a comprehensive set of standards for text and image usage in print and on the Web.

We have organized this toolkit into sections covering graphic and editorial standards for print and Web/interactive communications. You will also be able to download the Northeastern logo and other branding resources.

We strongly encourage you to develop all marketing communications in coordination with the appropriate administrative units to fully leverage your unit marketing goals and strategy. For questions, please contact the director of interactive and marketing programs at (617) 373-5389.

If you have any questions about the contents of this toolkit, our branding standards, or the application of the Northeastern University identity system, choose the "Resources and Contacts" link at left. And please keep in mind that this toolkit will be evolving over time. Check this Web site often for new information and tools.
