The OUEC is responsible for investigating and resolving all complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation at Northeastern. The Assistant Vice President for University Equity and Compliance / Title IX Coordinator coordinates the University’s response to complaints involving all forms of discrimination.

Anyone who experiences or is aware of discriminatory conduct is urged to report the matter immediately to the OUEC for appropriate response. The University’s policies strictly prohibits retaliation against an individual for reporting perceived discrimination or participating in a resulting investigation.

Mark Jannoni – Assistant Vice President for University Equity and Compliance & Title IX Coordinator

Mark Jannoni joined Northeastern University in January 2016 and was appointed the Assistant Vice President for Title IX Initiatives & Title IX Coordinator. His primary role is to oversee the newly formed Office for University Equity and Compliance, which is responsible for keeping the University within compliance of federal law, coordinating the investigation and resolution of all student-related matters involving sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking and relationship violence and spearheading prevention, training and education initiatives across the University. Mark has over 17 years of higher education experience and has overseen all facets of Student Affairs, including Residence Life, Student Conduct, Health and Counseling Services, New Student and Family Programs and Student Engagement.

Brigid Molloy – Title IX Investigator

Brigid joined Northeastern University in September 2017. Following law school, Brigid began her career at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination where she investigated complaints of discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodation. In the Office for University Equity and Compliance, Brigid is responsible for investigating complaints of sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, stalking, and relationship violence.

Diana Fitzgerald – Title IX Investigator & Training Coordinator

Diana joined the Office for University Equity and Compliance at Northeastern University in October 2016. She began her professional career with the US Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights in 2011. During her time with the Office for Civil Rights, she investigated complaints of discrimination on the bases of disability, sex, gender, race, color, and national origin, in addition to providing technical assistance on federal civil rights laws, including Title IX. In her role as Title IX Investigator at the University, she assists in the investigation of student-related concerns regarding sexual violence, sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking, and relationship violence. She is excited for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the University’s Title IX programs and policies.
