Facilities

Northeastern University’s Marine Science Center is located in Nahant, Massachusetts on a rocky point 12 miles northeast of Boston. Facilities at the MSC include: a flow-through sea water system, research laboratories, offices, library, wet lab with flowing seawater, dive locker, and an interactive micro-computing laboratory with fiber optic Internet capability and WiFi throughout the building. The lab has several small boats for nearshore work. The 9.5′ tidal amplitude and undisturbed shoreline provide a variety of intertidal and subtidal communities well suited for marine biological investigation.
