SWE National

Becoming a member of the nationwide Society of Women Engineers is not a requirement for joining SWE Northeastern, but becoming a national member will entitle you to loads of benefits!

  • Apply for scholarships
  • Post your resume online on the SWE Resume Database
  • Receive a nifty membership card and a subscription to SWE Magazine
  • Attend the national conference as a member of SWE Northeastern (national members only)

Students can join SWE National at any time under the Collegiate to Career membership. This membership costs $50 and covers all years of your undergraduate career plus your first year as a professional engineer (i.e. you pay $50 once for 6 years of SWE National membership). The term of membership is July 1st through June 30th and membership does need to be renewed early, although there is no extra cost after the one-time $50 fee. There may be discounts available based on your country of residence, and whether you are a member of another professional engineering organization. You could also purchase the Collegiate membership package, in which you pay $20 annually to renew your membership.

To sign up, visit the SWE National membership page.

Note: SWE National membership is required to attend the national conference.
