In order to provide and maintain a safe environment for teaching, learning and research, all students/researchers MUST be trained by the Northeastern University Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) division before commencement of research.
To prepare for the EHS training, the following steps should be taken: Go to http://www.ehs.neu.edu/training/, click on online training and complete the 3 online courses. (1) Safety; (2)
Chemical Hygiene 1 ; and (3)
Chemical Hygiene 2.
You will receive a certificate after passing the tests at the end of the online safety training, which will be used as the evidence for passing the safety training. You can then send an email to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org to request lab access with the safety training certificate.
