Our work on voltage tunable magnetoelectric inductors showed breakthrough on voltage tunable inductance of 50~150% at 0.5~3.5GHz, which will have great impacts on future smart phones, RF communication systems and radars. These results are in the news in Semiconductor Research Corporation, Yahoo Finance, ComputerWorld, RFglobalnet, etc.

Our paper (Ming Liu, et al. "Giant Electric Field Tuning of Magnetic Properties in Multiferroic ferrite/ferroelectric Heterostructures", Advanced Functional Materials, 19, 1826 (2009).) is selected as the 10 most outstanding full papers in the past ten years in Advanced Functional Materials, which is also the most-accessed full paper in 2009. This paper will be included in a retrospective edition of Advanced Functional Materials which will appear in November 2010 for celebrating 10 years publishing of this journal. The news just came in and here is the link.
