1. Review of Derivative: | Functions, derivative as operator, meaning of the derivative, the antiderative. |
2. The Integral: | Integrals as areas and sums, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, properties of the integral, applications (average value, volume). |
3. Trigonometric Functions: | What they are, calculus of trig functions, inverse trig functions. |
4. Techniques of Integration: | Substitution, use of tables of integrals. |
5. Differential Equations: | Basic concepts, separation of variables, applications (mathematical models for growth, diffusion of chemicals through membranes, drug absoption, spread of infectious disease). |
