Conference on
Finiteness Conditions in Topology and Algebra

Belfast, August 31-September 3, 2015

Local information

Travelling to Belfast
For international participants, travelling via Dublin Airport (DUB) is probably the most convenient option. Buses from the airport to Belfast run every hour, and take about 2 hours. The two main options are Aircoach and Translink.

Belfast is also served by two local airports: George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD) and Belfast International Airport (BFS). The first one is served by the Airport Express 600, which takes about 15 minutes, while the second one is served by the Airport Express 300, which takes about 35 minutes.

There are stops for the airport buses in the city centre, but the easiest option is to get off at the main bus station: the Europa Bus Centre, which is the last stop.

Getting to Queen's
The Europa Bus Centre and the nearby Great Victoria Street train station are a 20-minute walk from the campus. Here is a campus map. The easiest way is to walk along Great Victoria Street, continuing onto Botanic Avenue and then onto the campus. (Alternatively, use translink bus services no. 7 or no. 8.)

You will find the Pure Mathematics Research Centre in the Lanyon South building (no. 1s on the campus map), while the conference talks will be held in the David Bates Building (no. 10 on the campus map).

Accomodations
A number of ensuite rooms (B&B) are available in the "Elm's Village" for about £34 per person per night, see here. This is within walking distance from the University, and can also be reached by bus.

Please contact accommodation@qub.ac.uk directly to make the booking and arrange payment. Quote the booking reference Kx19485 as well as name and dates of the conference. The booking deadline is August 17, 2015.

Alternatively, there are a number of hotels and B&Bs nearby. Here's a short list of possible choices:
