The Erasmus School of Law dates from 1963. It became an integral part of the university in 1973. One of the striking characteristics of the Erasmus School of Law is its interdisciplinary emphasis and its business and international orientation. The aim is to make students aware of the way in which the law functions within a socio-economic context. The University of Rotterdam is affliated with Vrije University in Amersterdam.
Courses
The Erasmus School of Law uses many different teaching methodologies such as lectures, seminars, essay/paper, coursework and (interim) examinations. By creating an interactive learning environment, especially during the seminars, students are required to actively participate in class discussions and use creative thinking.

Host University
The Erasmus University Rotterdam is a well-established university known worldwide. It has continued the spirit of its original founders by building up a reputation for its business-like, progressive and practical orientation. Just as the port of Rotterdam has developed into a hub of international trade, the university too has placed its academic expertise and experience in an international context. The university offers education and research programmes in business administration and management, economics, law, medicine, philosophy, social sciences and history and arts. At present there are some 15,000 undergraduate and 1,500 postgraduate students at the university. A number of these students come from outside the Netherlands and are following either undergraduate or postgraduate courses in English at the Rotterdam School of Management and the School of Law, for instance. There are 3,300 members of staff at the university.

- Students must be a junior or senior CJ major
- GPA of at least 3.0

Cost
Fall 2013 or Spring 2014: $20,390
Includes: Northeastern University (NU) tuition for 16 NU credits ($20,390), and 24/7 worldwide emergency assistance ($100). Students are responsible for all other expenses, including housing and other non-academic costs for which they will be billed directly by the program provider or host institution. Students are also responsible for arranging and purchasing their own flights.
Accommodations
Stadswonen is a social housing corporation that provides attractive accommodation for international students, staff and guests of EUR. Most locations are situated in or nearby the centre of Rotterdam or the educational institutes. Note that mediation is strictly subject to the terms and conditions of Stadswonen. Accommodation will only be arranged for a period of (up to) one year. Please note that the Admissions Office cannot assist students in finding housing. International MBA Program students should consult the RSM Housing website, which is accessible via Blackboard.
