QUT Exchange Program is specially designed for Inbound Exchange students from our partner institutions who meet the exchange eligibility requirements. Students are eligible to study at QUT for one or two semesters.
Courses
You can select from a comprehensive range of QUT units and custom design your program to suit your interests. From communication to civil engineering, environmental law to education, international business to information technology, public health to psychology, students can combine four units from across our seven faculties.
Students will take four units for a total of 16 NU credits.

Host University
Our real-world approach means that teaching goes beyond the textbook – students work on real case studies for real companies. Work placement opportunities, group projects and learning from lecturers who are still active in their industry means you will be better prepared for the working world.

Eligibility Requirements
- 2 completed terms at NU, one of which may be a summer term
- GPA of at least 2.5
- Transfer students and spring admits, please contact OISP for eligibility
- If English is not your first language, you may be required to proof proficiency.
- QUT accepts scores from TOEFL and IELTS.

Cost
Fall 2013 or Spring 2014: $20,490
Includes: Northeastern University (NU) tuition for 16 NU credits ($20,390), and 24/7 worldwide emergency assistance ($100). Students are responsible for all other expenses, including housing and other non-academic costs for which they will be billed directly by the program provider or host institution. Students are also responsible for arranging and purchasing their own flights.

Accommodations
Students are responsible for making housing arrangements directly with QUT. Brisbane offers a wide range of accommodation options including homestay, student hostels, student apartment complexes, boarding houses, private apartments and houses. QUT’s International student services staff provide comprehensive accommodation assistance including helping you to arrange temporary accommodation prior to your arrival, and assisting you to find permanent accommodation that suits your needs.
