This program, on the south island of New Zealand, allows students to live and study in one of the most scenic and picturesque regions of the world. Students spend either the summer/fall or the spring/summer terms at the University of Canterbury. UC offers students a range of courses in Arts (Humanities and Social Sciences), Business, Education, Engineering, Forestry, Law and Science, with more than 100 disciplines offered from Accounting to Zoology. For those interested in field sciences, the University is known for its network of field stations around the South Island (including an astronomical observatory in the high country) and many courses in the field sciences include field trips within the South Island’s spectacular natural environment. Students will also have access to all campus resources, including e-mail, campus activities, library facilities, and sports clubs.
