TEN671/3 Development Project

This course sequence starts in the Fall as TEN 671 and continues through the Spring and Summer semesters as TEN 673. Teams will form around ideas that are selected from either their own ideas, those of other students, or from projects being conducted in I-cubators. Student ideas will be evaluated during the application process and students will be advised about available resources at Northeastern that could be applied to the development of their product concepts. In the event that inadequate resources exist, students will be informed and advised to explore other options.

Students begin an assessment of the market opportunity for the idea they are persuing during the Fall. In the spring, students continue to develop a market awareness of the viability of the product by making visits with customers and getting their feedback on the concept. Working with a technical team, students will further develop the concept by building and testing prototypes of a technology product. Periodically, students will be required to present their projects to investors and successful entrepreneurs.

Prereq.: none.
