Red Auerbach Youth Foundation to Benefit from Patriots Ticket Raffle

August 23, 2012

Wellington, FL.  –   Kevin and Karin McLellan of the Tyler McLellan Foundation are gearing up and ready along with their staff and supporters for their annual Boston fundraiser.  Advance tickets for the 4th Annual Patriots Ticket Raffle went on sale July 15th from their website and all ticket locations are now selling tickets.  Kevin McLellan (TMF president & Tyler’s dad) has been a New England Patriots season ticket holder since 1995 and is using this as a tool to help their cause, in which every year the McLellan’s donate two of their tickets to the foundation in their sons namesake, while donating a portion to a Boston youth charity.

This year’s benefactor will be The Red Auerbach Youth Foundation.  An icon in Boston Celtic history, Red led the Boston Celtics to 16 NBA Championships in a span of 29 years.  The Red Auerbach Youth Foundation (RAYF) was founded in 1985 to honor Arnold “Red” Auerbach, one of Boston’s and the country’s great sports legends. Red Auerbach was a firm believer in the value of sports and athletics as building blocks for the healthy physical and emotional development of children.

McLellan says:  “this is a great honor to be associated with The Red Auerbach Youth Foundation,  and to also be able to give something back to Boston. Judy Lockhart (RAYF Executive Director) has been so helpful anytime we have asked for anything”.
