Join Sport in Society and South Africa Partners for a special sneak preview Fair Play, a powerful new documentary about citizens around the world who leveraged sports to bring the human rights crisis in South Africa to the forefront of global attention.  Part of a powerful new series called HAVE YOU HEARD FROM JOHANNESBURG by acclaimed by filmmaker Connie Field, Fair Play shows how sports boycotts helped bring one of the world’s most brutally repressive governments to its knees.

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s release and learn the story behind his determination to bring a united South Africa onto the world stage of international sports at this exciting preview event.

The film will include a panel discussion with professional athletes and representatives from the sports industry who helped push the human rights agenda in South Africa at the end of apartheid. Following the event, we will host an informal networking reception at the Globe Restaurant.
