(11-5-09) Boston, Mass. - Our travels through Ireland left us invigorated and inspired.  On our week-long journey we were thrilled to see Sport in Society’s values of community, inclusiveness, respect, health, teamwork, and service playing an active role in sports, both in Northern Ireland and the Republic.

Uneven Fairways Explored

(10-26-09) Boston, Mass. – On Monday, Sport in Society teamed up with Comcast the GOLF CHANNEL to present Uneven Fairways, a documentary chronicling the little-known but rich history of African Americans in golf through never-before-seen archival footage of the men and women who faced prejudice and endured indignities to play golf at its highest level, to more than 100 middle school students from Boston Public Schools.

Sport in Society Advises on White House Sport Fact Finding Mission

(10-7-09) Boston, Mass. – Sport in Society manager of Research, Eli Wolff met White House Office of Public Engagement (OPE) staff assistant, Joe Kennedy on Wednesday, September 23 and discussed the use of sports and physical activity to address issues health, nutrition, and obesity, particularly related to youth.
