Kate Barnosky is an intern with Sport in Society. She is originally from Long Island, NY. Kate is currently in her second year of her master’s program in child development at Tufts University and is the graduate assistant coach of the women’s basketball team. Kate attended Tufts as an undergraduate as well, where she was a three-year captain of the basketball team. While interning at Sport in Society, Kate is also working at Doc Wayne Youth Services.
As an undergraduate college athlete, Kate was recognized as a first team all NESCAC selection, second team all Northeast region and held leadership roles as captain and president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Kate hopes to find a career where she can utilize her master’s degree in child development combined with her extensive athletic experience. She finds Sport in Society to be a perfect combination of these goals and is excited to work and learn with the organization.
