Joe Rowell is a Co-op Student at Sport in Society. He, along with a team of other co-ops /interns, provides support for the Sport in Society staff through various roles. Being a native of Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, Joe was instantly attracted to CSSS by its dedication to community engagement in the Boston area.
Joe has demonstrated a commitment to serving his community through his work as a youth community organizer at Project R.I.G.H.T Inc., and as an Instructional Assistant at Northeastern’s Balfour Academy.
A proud graduate of Boston Latin Academy in 2009, Joe is nowa fourth year student at Northeastern majoring in Sociology with a minor in Law and Public Policy. Prior to his time at Sport in Society Joe worked as a Co-op at WilmerHale LLP in its Public Service department. There he helped support a team that managed the firm’s philanthropic initiatives and pro bono legal endeavors.
