Experiential Education and Co-op
Northeastern is considered a global leader in the integration of classroom learning with real-world, first hand experience.
There are four, innovative forms of experiential learning at the University: student research, global experience, service learning, and, most famously, our signature cooperative education program, or co-op.
Our co-op program is one of the largest in the world. We are ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and our alumni consistently cite real-world learning as the element of their education that enabled them to take leadership positions in their careers.
In the School of Journalism, co-op is closely integrated with our course curriculum, our scheduling, and our advising system. Use the links to the left to learn more about Journalism Co-op.
