Laura Senier holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in Sociology and Anthropology and in Health Sciences. She has an MPH in epidemiology from the BU School of Public Health and a PhD in Sociology from Brown University. Her research interests include the sociology of medicine and public health, community environmental health, and environmental justice. Her dissertation was funded by a fellowship from the Robert & Patricia Switzer Foundation.
