Our tutoring services are open to all SGS students and are free of charge. Peer tutoring is provided in all SGS subjects. All tutoring sessions take place in Ryder Hall on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Location and hours of operation

Peer Tutoring Office:
The peer tutoring office is located in the reception area of 250 Ryder Hall. The Program Director and the Peer Tutor Coordinator use the office to conduct daily operations. Peer Tutors on desk duty also work in the office, answering questions, dispensing information about the program, and setting up tutoring appointments. Also, our reference library is located in the office area. The hours of operation are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The peer tutoring office can be reached by telephone at (617) 373-7362, by fax at (617) 373-2325, or by e-mail to Peer Tutoring Program Director Tina Kondopoulos at t.kondopoulos@neu.edu.

Walk-in Math Center:
The Math Center is located at 233 Ryder Hall. The hours of operation are 11:45 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. (activities period) every Wednesday.

Walk-in Study Skills and Reading Center:
The Study Skills and Reading Center is located at 235 Ryder Hall. The hours of operation are 11:45 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. (activities period) every Wednesday.

Walk-in Writing Lab:
The Writing Lab is part of the Computer Lab, which is located at 460 Ryder Hall. The hours of operation are 11:45 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. (activities period) every Wednesday.

Conference Room:
The conference room, located in Ryder Hall, is used for peer tutoring training, as well as for weekly and semester meetings.

Please Note:
Each semester, SGS Peer Tutoring Services begin during the second week of classes and close the week before final exams.
