Your myNEU password must be a minimum of 8 characters, with at least:
- one uppercase character
- one lowercase character
- one numeric character
- one special character
Passwords must not contain values of your NUID, first name, last name, full name, myNEU faculty / staff username, myNEU faculty / staff email address, myNEU student username, myNEU student email address.
For example: the below password is taking the first letter of each word in a phrase, making every other a capital separated by a period. The use of a phrase will make it easier to remember your password.
Phrase: Black cats are bad luck for me!
Password: b.C.a.B.l.F.m!
(Do not use this example – now that it’s posted on the Internet, you can bet thieves will try to use it to access a myNEU account!)
