Question: I received an email saying my password has been changed but I did not change it. What happened?
When your password gets changed by a third party, person or program it is often because they guessed the answer to your password reset challenge question.
To regain access to your account please either use the password reset challenge question or call the Service Desk (617-373-4357) for assistance.
Safeguard your Account
To change your challenge question log into myNEU: Click on My Profile>Authentication Questions.
For added complexity use the same techniques for creating a strong password to create your challenge answer. For example if your answer is “red apple” instead make it “1Red Apple 4 Me” This added complecity will make it harder for someone to guess the answer.
