Roundtable discussion with co-op students
Wednesday night, Senior Vice President of Enrollment Marketing and Student Affairs Dr. Philly Mantella, Director of Co-op Services Maria Stein, and Northeastern-Seattle CEO & Dean Tayloe Washburn, hosted 17 undergraduate and graduate co-op students for a roundtable discussion in South Lake Union, home of the new Northeastern Seattle Graduate Campus.
Northeastern students from all over the globe, co-oping primarily at Seattle-based Amazon.com (who work a stone’s throw from our new campus) and Boeing came together to share their experiences both at work and in Seattle. One student on her first co-op, doing graphic design for Amazon.com signage was happy to be spending time back on her home coast, while one graduate student cheerfully told of his work-trip to China that provided a free visit home. The Seattle team was proud to host it’s first co-op dinner and to connect with Northeasterners in Seattle!
