Northeastern University’s Seattle Graduate Campus is proud to be a part of the South Lake Union neighborhood. An epicenter for innovation and discovery, South Lake Union is home to a wide variety of companies and institutions that share in the University’s vision of a world where cutting edge thought-leaders come together to inspire, create, and execute new technologies and most of all: learn.
The campus also represents leadership in sustainability, as the campus is in a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum-certified building, the highest level of this sustainable certification. In fact, there are more LEED-certified buildings here or on the way than in any other part of the city.
Northeastern chose the South Lake Union neighborhood not only for its convenience for students, but its proximity to industry: Area businesses generate an astonishing $3 billion in sales revenue each year, and 55 of South Lake Union’s businesses each produce sales in excess of $10 million annually.
The South Lake Union neighborhood is located just north of Downtown Seattle and is easily accessible by Metro bus or streetcar.
