Mayor of Huntington Avenue

In the 1960's and 1970's, Mayor of Huntington Avenue (MOHA), was a contest that united Northeastern and transformed our campus through parades, banners, costumes, and school spirit. The SAA brought this event back to life in 2005, and it continues to get bigger and better each year. The annual "Mayor's Debate" made its first appearance in the fall of 2005 and continues to be an exciting event for each candidate to prove that they possess "Husky Pride."

Last year, our Mayor of Huntington Avenue won an award at the National level as the CASE ASAP 2011 Outstanding External Program!

When: Mayor Candidates will campaign throughout Homecoming Week and will be featured during the annual Mayoral Debate.

Applications to become the next Big Dog on Campus will be available in October 2012.

Last Year's Results:
The Student Alumni Association saw a record attendance at the debate as more than 600 enthusiastic students crowded into Blackman to show their support. With six excellent candidates, each from their own walk of Northeastern life, it was easily the best Mayor's debate yet.

The "Big Dog on Campus" title was awarded to Peter Petrin '13, becoming Mayor on behalf of Phi Delta Theta. Congratulations, Pete!
