Abstract:
With the decline in Higher Education budgets, allocating funding for professional development opportunities and/or conferences is less accessible to student affairs/academic affairs professionals. Using 140 typed characters may be a sufficient way to increase connections within our profession and with our colleagues. Twitter, an online micro-blogging service, is changing the way we share best practices, research and important information with one another. In this presentation the learner will analyze the stigmas associated with social media and the evolution of social norms for
