DSAT In New Jersey

My name is Jason Weiland and I’m from the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. You’re probably wondering why we made this video well; we’re excited to announce that we’re hosting the Deaf Self-Advocacy Training (DSAT) here April of 2013.

Alberto Sifuentes will be presenting on this topic:
Participants who attend this training will gain a stronger understanding of how to advocate for themselves, develop higher self esteem, understand the interpreter’s role, and how to advocate for communication access services. Throughout the training we will have various activities to participate in. It’s going to be a good time and we hope to see you there!

It will be held April 2nd on the Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf
(MKSD) campus in Trenton, NJ from 9:30am-4:00pm

There will be another workshop held April 3rd on the Kean University campus in Union, NJ from 9:30am-4pm

To Register:
Each workshop has a limit of 20 participants. If you try to register and both days are full, don’t worry because we will be offering more workshops in the future.

Advanced registration is REQUIRED BY MARCH 22ND. This training is free and limited to 20 participants who are deaf or hard of hearing and use sign language to communicate.

To register, contact Alberto Sifuentes by e-mail at a.sifuentes@neu.edu with your name, home or work address, phone/VP/cell number and e-mail address. Please type “MKSD DSAT” or “Kean DSAT” in the subject line. Registration confirmation will be sent to your e-mail.
