Academic Coursework

CEUs may be awarded for coursework for college credit taken at an accredited institution during the participant’s current CMP cycle. This accreditation must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Successful completion is defined as receiving a minimum letter grade of ‘C’ (2.0) or above.

Please note that RID policy states that if one CMP approved sponsor is already offering CEUs for an event, you may not request CEUs through another sponsor.

Requirements

  1. Complete coursework, earning a grade of “C” or above. Application for CEUs can be done retroactively, as long as the course is completed within the participant’s current CMP cycle.
  2. Submit online form below with attached course description and transcript.
  3. Complete a nonrefundable $10 processing fee securely here. This link is also available below after you submit the form.
  4. Once approved, NURIEC will process the CEUs earned and send this information to RID to be posted on your transcript.

TIP: If the course is offered during a semester, the number of CEUs equals 1.5 per semester credit (i.e. a 3 credit course = 4.5 CEUs). If the course is offered during a quarter, the number of CEUs equals 1 per quarter credit (i.e. a 3 credit course = 3 CEUs).
