Registering your Nintendo devices for wireless
If you have never registered your device before

If you have never registered your device before, you have two options. Option number one is to bring it and all proper cables (power cable, controller, etc) down to ResNet for registration. We will then register you in office. Estimated time: 10 min.
Another option would be to email ResNet@neu.edu the MAC address* along with your name, the device name, and the MAC address typed out. Once you send that email, we will register it within 24 working hours. We will send you a confirmation email once it has been registered.

If you have registered in a past semester

If you have registered in a past semester, and this is the same device as one previously registered, you only need to go to the registration student portal at http://registerresnet.neu.edu and hit “register” next to the entry for your console.

* The MAC address can be found the following way:
Wii:
Select the Wii button from the main menu.
Select Wii settings and select Wii System Settings.
Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select Internet.
Select Console information. The MAC address will be shown at the top of the screen.

Wii U:
From the main menu select System Settings.
Select the Internet icon using the left stick and hit A.
Select View MAC Address, the MAC address will then appear

Nintendo 3DS:
From the home menu, select System Settings.
Select Internet Settings.
Select Other Information.
Select Confirm MAC address, the MAC address will now appear on screen.
