Ensure International Warranty Coverage for Student-owned Computers

Step 1: Apple and Dell warranty service is available for computers purchased in non-embargoed nations. Dell requires that the service tag from the country of origin be transferred to the United States. To ensure warranty service is not delayed, international students should complete the service tag process prior to students arriving in the U.S.It is also recommended that computers other than Apple or Dell be purchased in the United States to ensure reasonable remediation times and parts compatibility.

Step 2: For warranty coverage, Apple and Dell require a valid and current warranty and that the service be completed at an authorized repair center.
