Step 1: In order for ResNet to perform warranty service on a Dell computer purchased outside the U.S., the international warranty must be transferred to the United States.
NOTE: Warranty transfer is NOT possible from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.
Step 2: Go to the Dell support site at http://www.dell.com/support/retail/us/en/19/ownershiptransfer/IdentifySystem. Follow the directions there. Prior to returning home, follow these instructions again to transfer the warranty back to the original location.
NOTE: The international warranty transfer process can take up to 3 weeks to be finalized. It is recommended that the transfer process be completed prior to arriving in the U.S. to ensure warranty service is not delayed. TIP: The process for ensuring ResNet is authorized to perform warranty repairs varies with the computer. Be sure to follow the recommendations for international warranty service.
