Event Highlights

Here are just a few notes on this year's Annual conference. There are some exciting events to look forward to, with more information on the way.

NEACUHO Signature Events

Each year the Annual is host to several signature events, this year is no different. Here is some information on what to expect this year at Northeastern.

• NEACUHO Orientations/Kick-Off Events
  • Orientations for New Professionals, and New Participants are available on Wednesday, June 6th. In addition A Mid-Level & CHO Kick-Off event will also be taking place. All three events take place in the same area at the same time, so that all conference participants will be close together to encourage participants to network.
• Opening Banquet/Closing Banquet
  • Our opening and closing banquets this year will feature some exciting entertainment and flavorful food selections from around the world.
• Case Study Competition
  • Our NEACUHO Programming Committee will be hosting this year's case study competition. More information will be available at registration/check-in.
• Keynote
  • This year's keynote speaker will be selected to highlight the theme of the conference while focusing on recent and contemporary issues in higher education. Check back soon for more information.
• Interest Sessions
  • We will feature 7 interest sessions at this year's Annual. 5 of the sessions will be 60 minute programs, and 2 of the sessions will be 75 minute programs. Start to plan now, if you want to present at the Annual, we look forward to a rich diversity in our program offerings. Click here for information on submitting a program proposal.
• Vendor Fair/Exhibit Hall
  • Our vendor fair will be housed in one of the oldest indoor arenas in the country, Matthew's Arena. Matthews has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation and has quickly become a hot spot for events in Boston. We plan on featuring more than 30 vendors from all around North America. Check out our Vendor Fair/Exhibit Hall page for more information on who is registered to attend. Attendee information will update as registrations process.
• Night Out on the Town
  • We are proud to feature 4 packages that you can register for before or while attending the conference. Check out our Night Out on the Town page to see the exciting packages we are offering.
• Fun Run/Walk/Roll
  • Get ready to move! Our 5k path is approved by the Northeastern competitive Running Club, and is used for foot races and other events all throughout the year. Be sure to register if you are interested. All skill levels welcome!
• Business Meeting
  • Are you interested in seeing how the organization really works? This is your chance to attend a working business meeting where items will be presented as well as voted on. The meeting will be presented in one of our stadium style class rooms where no matter where you are seated you will have a great view of how the executive board works.
• Club NEACUHO
  • Each year we finish our Annual with a signature event that is the best way to decompress, relax, and just have fun. This year Club NEACUHO will be an event you do NOT want to miss! Bring your dancing shoes!

New or Reborn Events

Each Annual has its own unique and individual flair! Some of the following events are new, and some are just reborn, ALL of them are exciting additions to this year's Annual!

• NEW: Opening Night Entertainment
  • All checked in with no where to go? Take a walk down to the lower level of International Village and take part in one of our amazing Opening Night Activities. We will have a Magician/Illusionist, Drag Bingo, and an area to socialize with colleagues and friends that will feature bar service.
• RECENT: Group Discussion (Book Club)
  • The Social Issues Committee is continuing its newly started tradition of featuring a group discussion and book club session. More information will be available soon.
• REBORN: Spa NEACUHO
  • Do you want to be pampered before the banquet? Looking for help with hair, nails, or maybe you just need a massage? Northeastern is proud to partner with Elizabeth Grady, and Empire Beauty School to feature upcoming professionals in the field, who will be available for NO COST to perform various Spa-like treatments. This event has been offered at other Annual conferences, but is making its rebirth at Northeastern. It's the best way to settle down and prepare for the closing banquet and a night of socializing and dancing.
