What is an LLC?
A Living Learning Community, or LLC, is a portion of a residence hall where students share a common theme or academic interest. There are 14 different LLCs, ranging from Engineering to Leadership. They’re a great place to live—and an easy place to make friends, since you’ll already have a common interest. Included in this web site are links explaining each community and profiles of actual students that have lived the LLC experience.
What can you expect from an LLC?
As you’ve probably heard by now, what you’ll learn in college isn’t contained to the classroom. The LLCs at Northeastern pick up where the classroom leaves off. Besides new friends, you can expect your Resident Assistant (RA) to share your interests or major, and to plan events and programs with those interests in mind:
Why live in an LLC?
You’re already excited about your major. Why not surround yourself with people who are just as excited? Sure, school is difficult, and it should be a challenge—but there’s nothing wrong with having fun at the same time! (Don’t have a major, or the foggiest idea of what you want to pick? Don’t worry, because the Undeclared LLC might be for you!)
