Political Science & Urban Policy

With the 2012 election just around the corner, this LLC will be immersed in dialogue and debate! Get to know your local and national community, while discussing politics as it affects our world today. Students will be challenged to explore the problems faced by underrepresented groups in urban areas, contemplate reform options, and explore how they can make a difference. We will look at invisible divisions that plague our great American cities and discuss possible solutions to build a more cohesive community. As part of this exploration, students will be encouraged to participate in student government and/or community activist groups. “Be the change you want to see in the world…” (Gandhi).
