Special Accommodations

Our traditional residence halls, suite-style buildings and apartment buildings contain living environments designed for students who have disabilities or have chronic medical conditions, or who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Individuals with medical conditions, mobility impairments, and who are deaf or hard of hearing may be asked to participate in a pre-lottery housing selection process.

All requests for special accommodation must be filed with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) or University Health and Counseling (UHCS) prior to January 14, 2009, in order to be taken into consideration as part of the Housing Selection Process. Please see below for information related to your specific need.

Please note: Housing & Residential Life does not make the determination of who receives special accommodation. All requests should be generated through the DRC or UHCS, who will in turn review the documentation and make a recommendation.

Students with Disabilities

You must register with the Disability Resource Center prior to January 14, 2009 in order for your request to be considered. Visit the center’s website to learn about the process and submit a request.
