Leased Properties
In addition to owning many residence halls, Northeastern leases space for its students in a number of privately held properties that are convenient to campus.
Our leased-properties program is a significant part of our residential community. The full-time liaison between your building and the Department of Housing & Residential Life is the Leased Properties Residence Director (RD). This person's principal role is to assist in the smooth coordination of services to students living in these properties. The RD can be contacted at 617.373.8510. The Leased Properties office is located in the basement of 106 St. Stephen Street.
AMENTIES
Security: There are no proctors or card-activated entry access points in leased properties. Security is maintained via key access to the apartment building and the individual apartment. You are responsible for carrying your apartment keys at all times. If you are locked out, go to the Residential Safety Office in Speare Hall for assistance. Students who have repeated lockouts will be assessed a fee.
Connections: One working telephone line and one cable TV connection are available in each apartment and can be activated at the student's expense. The majority of these lines are included in Northeastern's Centrex system with a 377 exchange. Resnet and HuskyCable connections are not available in leased properties. From these properties you may access Northeastern's e-mail and internet through a local ISP such as Comcast.
