Housing Options

Northeastern offers a range of housing options, including theme housing and learning communities.


Traditional Residence Halls

  • Majority of freshmen live in double- or triple-occupancy rooms.
  • Ten coed residence halls.
  • Sixty to five hundred students per hall.
  • Dining halls located in two of the largest buildings.
  • Commons study areas available in most residence halls.
  • All freshmen residence halls are smoke-free.

Suites (limited availability)

  • Multiple-bedroom units
  • Shared bathroom
  • Common room (in some cases)
  • Usually reserved for theme housing

Apartments

  • Majority of upperclass students are housed in apartment-style accommodations.
  • Single Studios to 6-person apartment capacity
  • Majority of bedrooms are single and double-occupancy
  • Shared bathroom
  • Living rooms (in some cases)
  • Kitchens or Kitchenettes
