Residence Hall Director
The Residence Director (RD) is a full-time master’s level professional staff member in the Department of Residential Life and has direct responsibility for all student development functions. RDs are responsible for the effective administration of a community living environment, which is conducive to social and intellectual growth, and the academic success of resident students. RDs must work autonomously, exercise excellent judgment in supervision, emergency response, and policy interpretation and implementation.
Graduate Assistantships
The Graduate Assistant (GA) is a part-time staff member in the Department of Residence Life and has joint responsibility for student development and administrative functions of a residential community. The GA collaborates in the development of community programs, serves as a resource for student staff as they develop educational programs, assists with hall councils, promotes the development of leadership skills, and helps facilitate the Resident Assistant training course.
