The Resident Student Association (RSA) strives to improve the quality of life in Northeastern’s residence halls and apartment complexes. The RSA plans programs for the resident population and represents students to the Department of Housing & Residential Life and the University administration on all issues dealing with student housing.
The RSA is comprised of the following three areas:
General Council
The general council is the main deliberating body of the RSA. It deals with issues and plans programs that involve all residence facilities. The general council is divided into four committees: administration, finance, programming, and housing services.
Hall Councils
A building’s hall council is the official liaison between the residents of the building and its staff. The hall council also acts as a programming organization for students, and plans and executes social and educational activities. Elections for hall council executive board members are held during the first month of the fall semester.
National Residence Hall Honorary
The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is an honor society consisting of the academic top one percent of residents within Northeastern’s residence halls.
