The Center for Resilience Studies collaborated with the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Political Science in launching the first-in-the-nation Master of Science in Security and Resilience Studies in Fall 2014.  Drawing on the interdisciplinary expertise of scholars across Northeastern, this degree offers students the opportunity to explore transnational challenges such as terrorism, organized crime, global disease, climate change, and cybersecurity and the how to advance societal security and resilience in response to these challenges.

The Master of Science in Security and Resilience Studies educates and prepares the next generation of security professionals for leadership positions in managing the dynamic threat environment of the 21st Century.  The program provides a unique combination  of analytical and technical coursework that enables students to succeed in the public and private sectors.
