Subawards on Your Proposal

The following elements must be submitted to ORAF from participating institutions if they are proposing to be a subawardee on any NEU award.  These elements are required prior to NEU's submission to the sponsor.

  • Letter of Intent or Commitment - signed by an Authorized Official from their institution.  Examples of what NEU sends out are in the box in the upper right of this page
  • Statement of work that the subawardee will perform: The SOW tells "what" the investigator intends to accomplish or research, not "how" the work will be done.
  • Detailed Budget for the entire proposal period: broken out by individual years or periods  Subaward Budget Template
  • Budget justification: covering each period of performance
