Qualifications
All candidates under consideration for the Research Awards must have:
- Demonstrated the ability to conduct original research at Northeastern University
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly contributions to literature
- Demonstrated research effectiveness in a manner that substantially exceeds the normal expectation for a graduate student
All candidates under consideration for the Community Service Award must have:
- Demonstrated initiative (voluntary or compensated) to benefit Northeastern University and the community
- Demonstrated evidence of service to the college, university or external community
- Demonstrated contributions to our community in a manner that substantially exceeds the normal expectation for a graduate student
All candidates under consideration for the Experiential Learning award must have:
- Demonstrated the ability to apply materials learned in the classroom at Northeastern University to a professional setting (co-op, practicum, or internship)
- Demonstrated the ability to apply materials learned in a professional setting (co-op, practicum, or internship) to the classroom at Northeastern University
- Demonstrated professional effectiveness (during co-op, practicum, or internship) in a manner that substantially exceeds the normal expectation for a graduate student
All candidates under consideration for the Teaching Awards must have:
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at Northeastern University
- Demonstrated the ability to motivate students inside the classroom at Northeastern University
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in a manner that substantially exceeds the normal expectation for a graduate student
