The Center for Research Innovation (CRI) designed the Innovator's Toolkit as a means of providing the community with information related to intellectual property. Although this Toolkit was designed in part to answer many of the common questions we receive, we encourage you to contact us if you have there is any additional information that we can provide to you.
Invention Disclosure Form - NEW!
Your invention or idea is important (1) to your professional development, (2) to the University, and, if applicable, (3) to your research sponsor. It is essential that it be reported promptly so that it can be evaluated to determine if there is sufficient novelty to permit patenting, and if so, sufficient commercial potential to justify a licensing program for industry.
Please read the instructions carefully, as they have recently changed.
- Submit all completed Invention Disclosure Forms to disclosure@neu.edu.
- Please note that CRI will only accept the most current version (REV1012) of the form. All older submissions will be returned and inventor will be asked to resubmit on the most current version (REV1012).
- Two formats are provided below:
