The main changes to the previous FCOI regulations are focused on:

• Lower financial disclosure thresholds
• New Conflict of Interest Training
• Increased transparency for travel reimbursement
• New Public Accessibility requirements

PHS funded researchers must complete FCOI training by August 24, 2012. An online training module is available through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) at https://www.citiprogram.org/ and includes the following modules:

• Module 1 - Financial Conflicts of Interest: Overview, Investigator Responsibilities, and COI Rules
• Module 2 - Institutional Responsibilities as They Affect Investigators

To complete this mini-course, please follow these instructions:

• Log into https://www.citiprogram.org/
• For new users, select "Register Here"
  • In section 1 "Select your institution or organization," select Northeastern University from the drop down menu
  • Complete the remaining questions, and select "submit" to register
  • Select "Add a course or update your learner groups for Northeastern University"
  • Select "Yes" on Question 2 "Would you like to take the Conflict of Interest mini-course?"
  • Complete the course as directed

• For existing users of CITI, sign into your existing Northeastern University affiliated account (if your account is not affiliated with Northeastern University, change the affiliation, and continue)
  • Select "Add a course or update your learner groups for Northeastern University"
  • Select "Yes" on Question 2 "Would you like to take the Conflict of Interest mini-course?"
  • Completed the course as directed
