Meal Plan

Students living in a traditional residence hall or suite-style building are required to be enrolled in a 19, 15 or 10 meal plan (see meal plan required residences). Students living in a meal plan required residence hall are automatically assigned to a 15-meal plan, although they may increase to a 19 meal plan or decrease to a 10 meal plan. Students have through the first week of the term to reduce their meal plan via myNEU. Students are allowed to increase their meal plan at any time

Students living in apartments with kitchens are not required to be on a meal plan but may request one if they wish via myNEU.

2008-2009 Meal Plan Required Residences: Kerr, Melvin, Light, 153 Hemenway, Speare, Stetson East, Stetson West, White, Smith, Kennedy, 319 Huntington, West Village F.

2009-2010 Meal Plan Required Residences: Kerr, Melvin, Light, 153 Hemenway, Speare, Stetson East, Stetson West, White, Smith, Kennedy, Parcel 18

Meal plans are good from Sunday morning breakfast through Saturday evening dinner. Each time a student enters the dining room, he runs his Husky Card through the card reader and the system deducts that meal from the total number available. Meals are apportioned on a weekly basis. Unused meals do not carry over from week to week. The 19, 15, 10 & 5 meal plan expire the last scheduled day of finals.

Visit Dining Services for information about menus and dining locations.

To change a meal plan, follow the instructions located on the self service tab on the myNEU Web Portal. You have until the friday of the first week of the term to reduce or remove your meal plan.

Dining Dollars

Each student who subscribes to a meal plan receives Dining Dollars as part of the plan, which can be used at all dining locations on and around campus. Dining Dollars must be spent during the term they are issued. Dining Dollars are separate from a Husky Account.
